What to consider when selecting your perfect pool builder
So you’ve decided to get a Swimming Pool, now you need to select a pool builder.
These are some questions to ask before making a decision.
Are they SAPASA Members?
Make sure your selected builder is a SPASA Member. SPASA Vic are the peak body for the Swimming Pool and Spa industry. SPASA promote the highest level of professionalism, ethical behaviour and standards. Selecting a SPASA pool builder member helps ensure your builder meets the strict standards required by the association.

Where are they?
Do some research; make sure you select a pool builder with a physical address. Do they have a shop or office you can visit to discuss your project? What if you have an issue? Selecting a pool builder with a retail shop or office that is open for business is always the best idea. Selecting a builder with a P.O box for an address can make it difficult to contact them if you do have any issues post installation.
(Rainwise’ multi-award winning store is located at 1125 Sydney Rd Coburg, open 6 days a week!)
Where are the pools made?
It’s a great idea to select a pool builder whose pools are made locally. Some companies use pools from other states that can often mean not only expensive freight costs, but also a shell that has travelled a long way, not to mention the very real issues associated with multi stacking.
Rainwise Pools are made by Conquest, right here is Victoria. Our pools are never multi-stacked and arrive to site perfectly every time.
What about some unbiased feedback?
Everyone will put their best customer reviews on their website, but you often have to look a little deeper if you want to get the full story. The first step is to do a Google search of the pool companies you are looking into. Check out some Australia’s most popular review sites to get an indication of other customer experiences with the pool builders. You want to be sure that positive feedback far out ways any negative reviews.
What sort of after sales service is offered?
Select a pool builder with a Pool Service technician on their team. Although pools these days are very easy to run (and often almost fully automated) you will still have questions and require some assistance post installation.
Rainwise has a full-time service technician. Our technician is the one who will provide you with a detailed handover tutorial after your pool is installed and is just a phone call away for follow up questions anytime.
